Smart WiFi Input 8-40V DC Switch Tuya SmartLife. Output 10A max dry contact relay any other DC or 230VAC.
This High Current load Basic 10A Smart WIFI switch can be used to make any device or appliance that uses an input of 8-40V DC Smart. The output is via an NO (Normally Open) relay contact which offers a wide range of switchable voltages, 115VDC or 230VAC @ 10A.
Note this latest version switch offers a ‘wider input voltage range’ and replaces our previous 12VDC and 14-VDC switches.
- The Output wiring is separate from the Input, meaning this Switch does not switch its input voltage to the output buy rather switches via a normally open dry contact relay. OFF=Open circuit | ON = short circuit
- The 8-40VDC input is used to control the smart switch and activate the relay only. Not switched to the output.
- The Output is via NO (normally open) relay contact. Output switching voltage is 115V DC or 230V AC @ 10A.

The leaflet wiring diagram supplied with the packaging is confusing, especially if you a do it yourself person. Likely there was a diagram on the product page DC load (to switch the same voltage as the input).
Other than that, a great product, once connected it works.

Powering this device with 9V from a DC UPS to switch power to a 9V indoor IP camera from the same 9V supply. Smart Life automation set to turn camera on when I leave and off when I return. Working very nicely!

Hi David, yes correct the input is only 12V DC. The output which a is a NO (normally open) relay contact can switch AC (live) or DC (positive) outputs to 10A.
