This DIY unit is supplied ‘pre-wired’ within an IP55 enclosure and contains 1x 4Ch Smart relay board and a 24VAC transformer – please refer to the additional images for a connection diagram and recommended optional item descriptions. Offer excludes solenoid valves.

Typical Uses
- Smart Irrigation Controller for new or existing systems (retrofit upgrade). Suitable for use with any 24VAC Solenoid valves – such as Orbit, K-Rain, Rain Bird, Hunter etc.
Borehole? | Water Pump Smart Controller
- If you have a borehole with a pump we recommend our 20A Water Pump switch. To Buy [click here]
- This 20A Water pump Smart Switch is often used in conjunction with our Smart Irrigation systems. For control the pump for the duration of the all the irrigation zones.
- NOTE: via the Smart timing features always ensure at least one solenoid valve is open 1minute before the pump starts and that the last valve remains open 1 minutes after the pump switches off.

- Solenoid Valves: 24VAC Solenoid K-Rain (USA) to buy [click here]. Required for all new installations or simply to upgrade your current ‘problematic’ solenoid valves to better quality ones.
- Sprinkler Pop-Up & Nozzle: K-Rain (USA) NP4 + KVF10 | 6m Diameter Spray, 25cm height. To buy [click here].
- Connect CAT Cable: 8 core connect the controller to the solenoid valves via our Outdoor UV protected CAT5e Cable [click here]
- Rain Adjustment: you can add a Smart Water/Flood detector to indicate rain [click here]. The sprinklers can then be adjusted via the app Automation feature as required, for example reduce by 50% or switch OFF for next 3 days etc.

Why two brown wires?

Connections as follows:
Loose Terminal Block – black
1. Red & Black – 230VAC input (Live & Neutral)
3. Brown – 24VAC common neutral to all 4x solenoid valves
4. Terminal block -green.
Most right terminal block is zone 1 and most left screw is the other connection (Normally Open) to the valve for activation (valve Live).

I am really happy with this irrigation system. I had a sunbird that I replaced with this one, it was also easy to mount and wire up. Getting the app to work was a bit tricky, with a bit of trial and error I now have it working exactly the way I want it to.
