This energy monitor is a compact, Wi-Fi-enabled device designed to track electricity usage in real-time. By using a Current Transformer (CT) clamp, it monitors power consumption without requiring you to cut or rewire your main electrical lines.

Installation note: When installing the CT clamp, you must only clamp it around the live wire (red wire). Clamping both the live and neutral wires simultaneously will result in a reading of 0 because the opposing magnetic fields cancel each other out.

• Non-invasive installation: the CT clamp snaps around the live wire. It uses electromagnetic induction to measure the current, meaning there is no direct contact with live copper.
• Real-time data: view instantaneous power (W), voltage (V), and current (A) through an app.
• Historical tracking:  record hourly, daily, and monthly kilowatt-hour (kWh) usage, often displayed in bar charts or graphs for energy auditing.
• Bi-directional measurement: can track both “Grid Consumed” and “Solar Exported,” making them useful for homes with photovoltaic systems.
