HDMI Bi-Directional Switch | 2-way modes

The HDMI Bi-Directional Switch is a versatile hardware device that allows you to manage the connection between HDMI sources (i.e. a gaming console or laptop) and HDMI displays (i.e. a TV or monitor) using a single physical unit.

Unlike a standard HDMI switch or splitter, which only works in one direction, a bi-directional switch can function in two distinct modes:

• 2-input to 1-output: connect two different source devices to the input ports and one display to the output port. This mode is also known as the traditional switch.
• 1-input to 2-output: connect one source device to the input port and two different displays to the output ports. This mode is also known as the toggle switch.

Please note that a bi-directional switch is not a “true” splitter. It cannot display the same image on both screens simultaneously. It acts as a toggle, sending the signal to either display A or display B.
